Lung Association supporters in Alberta ‘thanked’ by receiving original works of art

June was a busy month for The Lung Association, Alberta & NWT (TLA).

After wrapping up a successful Artworks for Lung Health campaign in January, TLA handed out a handful of original works of art that were donated to the association as a way to give back to its hundreds of supporters.

Every year TLA offers up framed works of art as part of its annual fundraiser that supports lung health research programs, and patient support programs, like Second Breath.

“Every year we have tens of thousands of donors who help support our cause in order to help people breathe better every day,” said TLA Director of Development Cathy Cross.

“We always like to thank our donors by offering this…campaign every January.”

This framed work of art called "Easter Lily" by Cindy Barratt was won by lung health supporter Joan Boxma in Three Hills, Alta.

Congratulations to Alberta-based winners John Weimer in Medicine Hat, Joan Boxma in Three Hills, Kathy Whyte in Sherwood Park, Harm Landsman from Sherwood Park, Robert Ewers in Edmonton, and Ken Bouchard in Gunn.

“Thank you to our donors for making this campaign — and all of our other campaigns — a success and by keeping us all powered by breathing,” said Cross.
