The Lung Awareness Day delegation, comprised of doctors, patients and their friends and families, as well as Lung Association staff, had a great day at the Legislature.

Over the course of the day the group had a photo-op with the Minister of Health, Stephen Mandel, met with a total of 10 MLAs and the Chief of Staff for the Minister of Seniors, and were introduced into the legislature during question period.

In addition the MLAs the delegation had formal meetings with, several more MLAs and legislature staff were engaged in the day’s efforts as they sat down to have their lung capacity tested by taking a spirometry test. Meanwhile, throughout the day, social media was a flurry of activity documenting the day’s events and helping get the word out about the activities inside the Legislature.
